肩周炎 - Frozen Shoulder

Adhesive Capsulitis or Frozen Shoulder is very common among the people between 40s to 60s, and occurs in woman more often than men. When you have pain in the shoulder, stiffness, trouble moving your shoulder, disrupted sleep from stiff and sore shoulder area, you may have this problem. Research has proven acupuncture and Tui-na (Therapeutic Massage) are effective in reducing pain and improve shoulder motion. Many have misconception that patient with Frozen Shoulder is supposed to rest and immobilize their shoulder. This may lead to muscle atrophy of deltoid and spinatii muscles. Gentle exercise can prevent and possibly reverse stiffness in the shoulder. Patients with Frozen shoulder are encourage to do some exercise guided by a doctor, an osteopath, or a physical therapist.
